Rope Rescue Training Course
This two day course designed for the event industry is aimed at arena and venue riggers or personal involved in working at height in buildings and structures.
Current legislation requires that a rescue plan be in place for those working at height.
The course is very practically based and during the two days the following subjects will be covered:
- Issue of kit and good practise
- Use and abuse
- Work positioning, fall protection and fall arrest
- Ascent and Good practise working at height
- Twin ropes and descending systems
- Ascending ropes
- Rescue kit and its components
- Locking pulleys
- Lowering and raising systems
- Rescues of conscious/unconscious casualty’s
- Scenarios
- Suspension trauma and simple first aid
- Priorities and rescue protocol
The structure of the course gives students the opportunity for as much practical as possible and realistic scenarios that could occur.
This course can be venue specific or can be run at our new training centre based in Earls Court.
