Rigging Training Course - LEVEL 1 : P.S.A. Approved
Aim
- To provide a basic knowledge of techniques required to temporarily suspend equipment in a live entertainment setting.
Course Content
- A copy of the course syllabus is included.
- The course comprises of a mixture of lectures, demonstrations, hand-outs, visual aids, group and individual practical sessions, problem solving and discussion.
- This is the first of two levels of instruction and therefore does not assume any prior knowledge.
Target Group
- Those who would benefit from this course are technicians desiring to be come riggers and others who would like to understand a little of what is going on over their head!
- Job titles of previous trainees include: lighting techs, sound engineers, Health and Safety Licensing officers, production managers, in-house stage managers and venue managers.
Certification
- Upon completion of this course, a Certificate of Attendance is issued. It details the topics covered on the course.
- It is stressed that the certificate is not a statement of competence, as there is no assessment made of the trainees ability.
